Job Title: Emergency Roadside Service Diesel Mechanic (Tires)

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Emergency Roadside Service Diesel Mechanic with expertise in tire repair and replacement. As part of our emergency roadside service team, you will respond to breakdowns involving commercial diesel vehicles, offering tire services, repairs, and general mechanical support to get trucks back on the road safely and quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Roadside Assistance: Respond to emergency calls for roadside assistance, including tire changes, repairs, and related mechanical services for diesel-powered vehicles.
• Tire Service: Perform tire-related services such as tire replacement, patching, inflation, commercial vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and other large diesel equipment.
• Diagnostic Repair: Conduct diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify issues, troubleshoot mechanical and tire problems, and make repairs in the field when possible.
• Routine Maintenance: Provide preventive maintenance services on vehicles as needed, including checking tire wear, inspecting mechanical components, and advising clients on proper maintenance
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and company protocols. Maintain high standards for safety on the job site.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, keeping drivers informed of the situation and providing accurate ETAs and updates.
• Equipment Operation: Operate specialized roadside service equipment, including tire changers, jacks, and air compressors, safely and efficiently.
• Documentation: Complete accurate service reports, detailing the work performed, parts used, and any follow-up needed during services.
Skills Qualifications:
• Experience: preferred minimum of one year of experience working as a diesel mechanic, with a strong focus on tire repair and maintenance for commercial vehicles.
• Certifications: experience, particularly in tires and diesel engine repair, preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: understanding of diesel engines, tire systems, and emergency roadside. Preferred
• Tools Equipment: Proficient in the use of automotive tools, including tire changers, impact wrenches, air compressors, and diagnostic tools.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy tires and equipment, and working in various weather conditions.
• Driving: Valid Driver’s License
• Customer-Focused: The ability to communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members
Work Environment:
• Work is performed in a mobile environment, responding to emergency service calls at roadside locations.
• Flexibility in hours, as the position may require on-call availability, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation
• Negotiable based on experience
