Goal of position (Why was this position created?)
• Day to day management of Sales and Marketing Activities of Business Division BD Bearings in the Automotive Sector (OEM)
• Providing critical inputs for product sales, development, pricing and manufacturing strategy. Coordinating with Schaeffler International Sale
• New Business Development - especially for introducing new products / technologies at customer end.
• Review of Sales Forecasting with overall market economy trend and Budgeting.
• New Product Development (/New Project) Coordination (internal with Application Engineering. Plant as well as at customer end – wherever required).
• Performing all the responsibilities of Sales in New Projects.
• Working on reducing Outstanding Payment Dues and Inventory levels for the Business Unit.
• Supporting role to KAM in case of critical shortages, capacity constraints.
• Document and record control in Sales of Bearing department

Formal prerequisites for the position (e.g. training, experience, education etc.)
• Education/ Apprenticeship: Graduate Engineer
• Job experience: 8+ Years
• Languages skills: English, Hindi
• Knowledge of SAP / PC: Operating Knowledge
• Technical knowledge: Basic Product knowledge of products belonging to Bearing Division
• Additional necessary knowledge or experiences
• Sales Marketing processes, Basic Document and record control, Costing, Pricing, RFQ
• process, Risk Assessment, Project Management, Negotiations, Automotive Market
• Knowledge, Sales Planning and Long-Term Product Strategy, Payment collection and Reconciliation

Tasks (Description of main tasks)
• Vision / Strategy for Product Line (incl. Product Technology and Market Strategy).
• Product Technology Trend Intelligence coordination with Schaeffler HO (Germany) PL.
• Risk Level Assessment, Costing Quotation Process for New projects.
• Coordination with International Sales for pricing strategy, Supporting KAM for negotiation with customer.
• New Product Development (/New Project) Coordination (internal with Application Engineering. Plant as well as at customer end).
• Evaluation of internal manufacturing capacity in line with total PL’s demand forecasting (i.e. after considering all customers’ requirements), getting confirmation from Plant on capacity planning informing the same to KAM for specific customer’s forecasted requirements.
• Keeping DSO DOH under control (for entire PL)
• Coordination (with the help of Sales Controlling guiding Sales Controlling in division of quantities for various customers – in case of common products) with Plant, Logistics Supply Chain for Delivery Management.
• Price Increase / VA VE / Annual Price Reduction / Profitability Management
• Market Mapping Demand Matrix
• Quality Issues / Customer Complaint Management
• Document and record control in Applications department
