ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provide defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations nationally, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care. About the Role
As Bench Dental Assistant and Health Clerk role, you will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery and will be responsible for providing clerical services including maintenance of electronic and hard copy health records, maintaining databases and information management systems, filing and photocopying and ordering stationery. A Bench role is a permanent full-time position with benefits like sick and annual leave. You must be flexible and available to backfill for sick or planned leave, even if you don't work all five shifts. Unlike a casual role, you're paid as a full-time employee regardless of shifts worked.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years.
Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery.
