The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled professional to assist our Nutanix Database Service (NDB) sales specialists in unblocking customer issues and designing joint solution architectures that require a mix of NDB and third-party products. This role will involve working closely with customers to understand their strategy, problems, and how NDB is getting adopted, as well as identifying areas for improvement and providing feedback on feature backlog priorities.
About the Team
You will be part of a talented team of over 12 engineers who are developing cutting-edge DBaaS solutions for various platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SAP HANA at the Nutanix NDB team.
Your Role
• Actively work with account teams and DB specialists on top customer accounts to understand customer strategy, problems, and adoption of NDB.
• Collect learnings and rank-prioritize customer requests for new enhancements, features, and get-well items.
• Develop workarounds and mitigations for customer issues, create best practice documentation, and input into formal NDB docs, blogs, how-to guides, train SAs, or develop self-taught learning modules on individual DB best practices.
• Support DB engine specific customer issues and escalations, provide guidance on default configuration settings for various DB instances, and help identify buckets of DB per type, use cases, and config parameters.
Requirements
• Great communication skills and ability to work directly with customers.
• Database engine expertise in order of priority: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Database Infrastructure expertise on Nutanix HCI, storage.
• Strong understanding of critical business requirements that tend to go with every NDB deployment, such as scale, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and compliance.
How We Work
This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. You will come into an office a minimum of 2-3 days per week, however, certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence.
