About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our growing data team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and optimize relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for data storage, processing, and analysis.
Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Metabase, Power BI, Looker)
Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Ensure data quality, security, and compliance through data validation, access controls, and encryption.
Stay updated on the latest data engineering technologies and best practices.
Contribute to the development and improvement of data infrastructure and processes.
Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Shell)
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing principles, and ETL/ELT methodologies.
Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including data storage (e.g., Cloud Storage) and data warehousing services (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
Experience with data quality and validation techniques
Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with BI tools (e.g., Metabase, Power BI, Looker)
Preferred:

Experience with data warehousing and data lake architectures
Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and stream processing technologies
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
