About the Role
Piliyintinji-ki Stronger Families provides culturally appropriate services for men, women, and families.

This pivotal role will be responsible for addressing the social and emotional wellbeing needs of the community by providing support, counselling, and case management for individuals and their families with a team approach to facilitate the healing process for the community.

Ability and willingness to skill transfer to Aboriginal staff
Ability to use best practice counselling models
Assist in facilitating activities and programs to enhance the delivery of those services
Identifying trends, gaps, and needs of the Aboriginal population in the Barkly Region to improve access and effectiveness of service delivery
Providing comprehensive counselling services to Aboriginal individuals and families experiencing family violence and associated issues
Liaising with other agencies, including case management related agencies for referrals
Providing presentations, community education, and promoting AHAC as required
Ensuring all client information is recorded and available for reporting periods
About You
To be successful in this position, you must have the proven ability to demonstrate working and operating in a culturally responsive and sensitive manner.

You must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience in engaging with clients and writing documentation and reports.

You should have knowledge of relevant stakeholders, and the proven ability to form networks and relationships with organisations and government departments related to working in this field.
