Senior Associate / Legal Director (8+ PQE)
Invenio are currently working with a standout UK firm that’s looking to appoint a senior Corporate Tax specialist to its Legal 500-rated tax team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior tax lawyer who wants to move into a genuinely forward-thinking, partner-track role.
The Opportunity
You’ll be joining a small, high-impact team advising on the full range of transactional tax issues—primarily supporting the firm's busy corporate group across MA, venture capital investments, restructures and joint ventures. Clients span an enviable range of leading entertainment studios, digital platforms, sports organisations, tech and data businesses, and early-stage innovators.
You’ll play a central role on complex, fast-moving deals, advising at partner level and driving commercial outcomes, while contributing to the wider growth and development of the practice.
This is a highly visible role with early-stage client ownership and business development responsibilities baked in.
While the focus is transactional, there’s opportunity to work across a varied tax caseload, including:
• Financing and cross-border structuring
• IP and tax credit planning
• Withholding tax, permanent establishment and residency issues
• Employment tax and incentive schemes (including advisory work via a LawTech venture focused on IR35)
What they're looking for:
• UK-qualified corporate tax lawyer with at least 8 years’ PQE
• Strong experience advising on tax elements of corporate transactions
• Comfortable with both independent delivery and team-based collaboration
• Ideally someone who enjoys working closely with clients and has a strong interest in creative and digital industries
• A leadership mindset with an appetite to contribute to practice development and long-term growth
