We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Cook to join our team in Surrey Hills, Victoria. As a key member of the culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional daily operations and contributing to a thriving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, measure, clean, chop, blend, and season food to ensure consistency and quality.
Oversee food preparation, adjusting temperatures and techniques for optimal taste, texture, and presentation.
Lead and collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow and high culinary standards.
Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces in accordance with health regulations.
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
Contribute to creating and refining recipes, incorporating feedback and trends to enhance the menu.
Requirements:
Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or possess at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the qualification.
Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
Exhibit outstanding communication skills.
Demonstrate knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Show ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Demonstrate attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Compensation Package:
$70,000 - $80,000 per annum (excluding superannuation) provides a competitive remuneration for this rewarding role.
