Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to our menu specifications, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Location: Andheri Key Responsibilities: • Food Preparation: • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts, following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. • Ensure ingredients are properly measured, mixed, and cooked to maintain consistency and quality. • Kitchen Operations: • Assist in the daily setup and breakdown of the kitchen, ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, slicers, mixers, and blenders safely and efficiently. • Quality Control: • Monitor food quality throughout the preparation and cooking process to ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of taste and presentation. • Taste and adjust seasoning of dishes as needed. • Inventory and Stock Management: • Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels, reporting shortages, and properly storing and rotating ingredients to minimize waste. • Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards. • Food Safety and Sanitation: • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all health and safety regulations. • Team Collaboration: • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff, including chefs, kitchen assistants, and dishwashers, to ensure smooth kitchen operations. • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely delivery of meals. • Customer Satisfaction: • Assist in accommodating special dietary requests and allergy concerns with care and attention to detail. • Strive to provide an exceptional dining experience for customers by consistently delivering high-quality dishes. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment. • Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food preparation. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene. • Culinary school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
