Job Summary:

We are seeking multiple Cooks to join our busy team on a casual basis at our South Brisbane campus. As a key member of the Mater Food Services team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for patients and staff in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
Prepare and present hot and cold dishes using various cooking methods and kitchen equipment.
Contribute to the provision of high-quality food products for patients and buffet service.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the work area, including general kitchen cleaning duties.
Ensure stock control, labelling, handling, and rotation procedures are followed for food safety.
About You:
You will possess a current (within the last 5 years) Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
Demonstrated experience in bulk food preparation, including vegetable and dessert cooking.
Able to read, follow and understand recipes, recipe methods and product being utilised for production.
Demonstrated experience with cook/chill processes.
Minimum 3 years previous experience in a health or similar setting.
Requirements:
Proficient in the application of computerised information systems and applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Please note that full availability is highly desired for this casual position. The successful candidate may be required to work across multiple sites.
