Live-In or Daily Cook / Housekeeper – Altrincham, Cheshire – Up to £40,000 GPA
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Cook / Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming private household in Altrincham, Cheshire. The family is seeking someone with a passion for cooking and high standards in housekeeping, ideally with expertise in Indian and Asian cuisine, along with a wide repertoire of world foods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a family of four, plus occasional visiting family and guests
• Menu planning, sourcing fresh ingredients, and managing dietary needs
• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked kitchen at all times
• Support the primary housekeeper with light housekeeping duties
• Assist with laundry and ironing as required
Role Details:
• Preferred schedule: Monday to Saturday (Sunday off), with some flexibility for the right candidate
• Working hours: Approx. 7:30am – 7:30pm, with a substantial break during the day
• Accommodation: Private bedroom and bathroom provided for live-in option
• Open to live-in or daily/live-out candidates
• Up to £40,000 gross per annum (GPA), depending on experience and schedule
Candidate Requirements:
• Proven experience in a similar household role
• Confident cooking a range of cuisines, especially Indian and Asian dishes
• Proactive, well-organised, and reliable
