Content Writer
Primary Purpose: This position will be responsible for generating quality content as per the business/ marketing requirements – ensure that the content is engaging and informative, while staying true to the brand character.
Key Accountabilities/Activities:
Primary Responsibility:
• Overseeing the layout, appearance and content of feature articles, news letters, magazines and content being placed on the digital platforms.
• Work with digital marketing team to generate Search Engine Optimized Content to increase website traffic
• Liaison with Academics and other departments for getting the story ideas, channelizing agencies for developing articles and collaterals.
• Raise the profile of the school’s newsletters, magazines, website and blogs.
• Read, write, copy or proof read to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax
Work Relations:
Internal:
• Reporting to Vice President – Marketing
• Interfacing with Academics team.
External:
• Interfacing with vendors and advertising/ social media agencies/ PR Agencies
Qualification:
• BA/ MA, BMM Graduate / P.G in English with a flair for writing
Span of Control:
• Individual Contribution Role
Financial decision making:
• Procurement Decision: N.A.
• Reimbursement Decision: N.A.
Experience:
• 5-7 years of experience in writing and developing content.
Expected Competencies:
• Proven expertise in writing contents
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Language
• Good command over English grammar
• Ability to understand textual meaning
• Urge of creative development, understanding of aesthetics for collaterals
