Description:

The Estimator will work closely with the management team, leading the project procurement and bidding processes through to the pre-construction phases. General Responsibilities:

Developing comprehensive cost estimates encompassing materials, labor, and equipment for a commercial construction project
Interpreting construction drawings to develop accurate project cost estimates.
Confidently leading teams through project procurement, bidding processes, and pre-construction phases.
Developing and implementing structured systems and procedures for effective cost monitoring and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Managing subcontractor quotes, revising bid binders, and aiding the buy-out process following successful bids.
Distributing subcontractor quotes and budgets to relevant personnel, highlighting areas of concern, and coordinating with management to incorporate risk into the bid price.
Tracking project success, supporting value engineering, and highlighting potential challenges to ensure seamless execution.
Demonstrate the ability to perform effectively under pressure and deliver results within strict timeframes.
Mentor and train junior estimators to develop their skills and enhance team performance
Maintaining an up-to-date directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors for efficient project sourcing.
Updating and maintaining databases of labor rates, material costs, and project expenditures for ongoing reference.
Establishing and nurturing professional relationships with key stakeholders, including engineers, architects, owners, and contractors, to facilitate seamless project execution.
Qualifications:

Possess a construction-related degree or diploma, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial and commercial estimating, or an equivalent combination of technical training and practical experience.
Advanced knowledge of corporate objectives influencing estimating practices, along with expertise in estimating strategies, techniques, and construction contract management.
Extensive experience in developing conceptual budgets for construction projects.
Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately in time-sensitive situations while effectively delegating tasks to a team.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills with a strong command of the English language; proficiency in Spanish is a valuable asset.
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite of Products, Procore and Bluebeam (desirable).

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
