The Opportunity

Based in our friendly Digital Creative Industries department, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across both Further and Higher Education. You'll cover a wide range of computing subject areas including Artificial Intelligence, Software Development, Programming, Cyber Security, and Networking. Your teaching will support our learners from beginner to advanced levels, and you'll have the opportunity to shape learners' understanding of current and emerging technologies.

Your sessions will focus on developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, helping our learners apply what they’ve learned through hands-on projects, simulations, and real-world scenarios. You’ll be teaching students across a variety of programmes including BTEC, T Levels, Access to HE, HNC/HND, and adult learning courses. Your ability to adapt and differentiate your teaching for 16–18-year-olds, adult learners, and those progressing through Higher Education pathways will be key to their success.

You’ll plan and deliver high-impact lessons using innovative digital tools and interactive learning methods. Whether you’re demonstrating coding techniques in Python or C#, guiding our learners through network configuration tasks, or supporting group discussions around ethical issues in AI and cybersecurity, you’ll be creating sessions that are not only informative but genuinely exciting and relevant.

Teaching will take place across a range of settings – in the classroom, through virtual learning platforms, and in some cases, in employer environments – giving you scope to bring variety, creativity, and flexibility to your delivery. You’ll be encouraged to reflect on your practice, contribute to continuous improvement, and collaborate closely with curriculum teams and industry partners to ensure our provision remains dynamic, relevant, and inspiring.

About You

You’ll be an enthusiastic, forward-thinking computing professional with at least two years’ experience in an education setting or the Games Industry. With strong subject knowledge in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Software Development, Cyber Security, and Networking, you bring real-world insight and credibility to your teaching.

You’ll have a proven ability to deliver high-quality, specialist teaching across Levels 3 to 5, using your expertise to engage learners and build both theoretical understanding and practical skills. Confident delivering across T Levels, BTEC, and Higher Education courses, you’ll tailor your approach to support 16–18-year-olds, adult learners, and those progressing through HE pathways.

Strong programming skills – ideally in C# and Python – are essential. You’ll know how to break down complex ideas and make them engaging through hands-on tasks, live examples, and real-world applications.

You stay up to date with emerging technologies and enjoy sharing that knowledge in accessible, innovative ways. Whether teaching in the classroom, online, or in workplace settings, you’re confident using a variety of delivery methods to keep our students motivated and involved.

Ideally, you’ll hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one, and you’ll already have experience planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality learning.
