Our commitment to person-centered care has positioned us as a trusted provider in the community, and we’re looking for a passionate and proactive Community Engagement Officer to join our team.



About the Role

We are seeking a Community Engagement Officer who will play a key role in building strong relationships with participants, families, and the broader community. This position involves outreach, education, and advocacy to enhance community awareness and ensure access to essential support services. If you are passionate about creating positive change and supporting individuals with disabilities, this role could be perfect for you.



Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with NDIS participants, families, and community stakeholders.
Facilitate community engagement activities, workshops, and information sessions to promote disability awareness and support.
Advocate for NDIS participants by connecting them with relevant support services and resources.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service offerings and participant engagement.
Conduct regular outreach to increase community awareness about the services provided by Adelaide Disability Care.


About You

We encourage recent graduates from Bachelor of Community Services, Human Services, or Public Health to apply. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills, gain hands-on experience, and make a meaningful impact in the community.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Community Services, Human Services, Public Health, or a related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse communities.
Passion for working with individuals with disabilities and a commitment to person-centered care.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Basic knowledge of the NDIS and disability support services (desirable but not essential).
