Commis Chef
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Commis Chef specializing in Indian curries and Chinese cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene.
Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, with a focus on Indian curries and Chinese cuisine.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications as directed by the Head Chef.
• Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
• Monitor stock levels and report to the Head Chef for replenishment.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Requirement
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Commis Chef in a hotel or standalone restaurant.
• Proven experience in Indian and Chinese cuisine.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Culinary school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
