Comedy TV series is looking for a NON-UNION Comedy Story Producer/Screenwriter
We are a Toronto production company who produces award-winning television. We are seeking to expand our successful team for the new 13-episode season of our established scripted comedy television series.
The series is unique in that it combines pre-shot footage with scripted content. While writing is a part of a show, the editing room is where the show is made. It requires creative story editors/screenwriters who understand how to shape footage and work with an editor to arc a story.
Must Be:
Non-Union
An Ontario resident
A Canadian citizen
Duties/Responsibilities
Arc a story and pace a 30-minute comedy
Write scripts, dialogue, voiceover, treatments
Review and break down footage
Make written edit decision lists and write paper edits
Dissect and package both reality/documentary style and scripted footage
Work with an editor from raw cut to broadcast-ready
Assets:
Comedy/improv background
Experience writing for scripted TV
Prior experience working in a writers room
Strong interest for the entertainment industry
Starts immediately. Rate based on experience.
