About Take Two

Take Two provides a range of therapeutic services for infants, children and young people who have suffered trauma, neglect and disrupted attachment, and contributes to the service system that provides care, support and protection for these children.

Take Two is also involved, in partnership with other community service agencies in the provision of therapeutic family violence services, therapeutic foster care, therapeutic residential care, and therapeutic services for the Family Preservation and Reunification Response Program.

Take Two is establishing a statewide Therapeutic Specialists Program with responsibility for delivering therapeutic services to Residential Care homes across Victoria.

The Opportunity:

Berry Street has implemented the Teaching Family Model (TFM), an evidence based holistic approach to supporting young people in out of home care with a focus on teaching age-appropriate social skills, problem solving and self- determination in a family style group setting. Berry Street's Residential Care staff are also trained in the use of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), a proactive prevention and de-escalation approach to crisis situations. Within the program there are also Take Two Clinicians - Therapeutic Specialists.

Therapeutic Specialist work closely with the young people and Residential Care team focusing on facilitating reflective practice and building team members knowledge of therapeutic parenting strategies.

Based at our Noble Park office, Boonwurrung country
Full Time, Permanent role
$121K pa plus super, salary packaging and a motor vehicle
Will be expected to travel regularly to other Take Two service delivery sites.
Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Team Leader, Therapeutic Residential Care will be responsible for;

Overall oversight of a clinical team and management of all clinical activities across the TRC program (multiple homes in various locations).
Supporting the clinical delivery of program activities where required
Responsibility for ensuring that the relevant referral processes, assessment, intervention and system support practices are in place and adherence to DFFH therapeutic guidelines.
Ensure effective oversight of the management of the services, including delivery of high-quality clinical services, adherence to case flows and the maintaining of relevant client records in accordance with Australian standards.
Develop collaborative and effective stakeholder relationships and manage risk and safety in clinical practice and work environments.
Our ideal candidate will have:

Deep understanding of trauma’s impact on mental health, attachment, and development, with the ability to educate others on these issues.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality clinical assessments and interventions for children, young people, and families, aligned with service outcomes.
Capable of supervising clinical work, supporting staff development, and ensuring quality service delivery.
Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring, team building, and performance management, aligned with Berry Street’s supervision model.
In-depth understanding of residential care settings and relevant guidelines (e.g., Berry Street, DFFH).
Bachelor level qualification in Health or Welfare relevant fields.
