About the Role
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and related nonprofessional health care activities for patients in a variety of treatment facilities and health care settings. You will work collaboratively with the nursing care team to provide basic nursing care procedures, assist patients with physical, personal care, activities of daily living, and ambulatory assistance needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic nursing care procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Assist patients with physical, personal care, activities of daily living, and ambulatory assistance needs
- Work collaboratively with the nursing care team to promote efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources
- Address ongoing patient needs and work with licensed nursing staff and other healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
- Possession of a valid Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic life support certification (BLS)
