Clerical Support Clerk
Job Summary
The Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) works with New York City families to ensure non-custodial parents provide financial support for their children. Family Court Support Services is responsible for providing support services to non-cash assistance clients.
Key Responsibilities
Triage in-person clients by logging them in at the reception area, identifying the purpose of the client's visit, and ensuring the clients are serviced further if needed.
Process incoming mail and handle requests for child support court summons service received from the NYC Family Court or directly from clients.
Data enter relevant information into the child support systems as needed, accurately and timely.
Scan and upload documents to systems used by the Office of Child Support Services as needed.
Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization.
One year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.

New York City residency is generally required within +0 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, S
