Classroom Teacher PREP
Role Description/Criteria
We are seeking a creative, passionate, knowledgeable and skilled full time PREP classroom teacher. Applicants will possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience, through a collaborative approach to learning and teaching. Desired applicants will have at least four years’ experience and will build high quality learning and teaching programs that meet the needs of all students linked to evidence based practice.
The successful applicant will:
have a commitment to the philosophy of Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of all children
possess the qualifications, skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience
have an understanding of an inquiry based approach to teaching and learning, inclusive of student voice and agency
be prepared to be involved in extra curricular school activities
Accreditation to teach or lead Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation
hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration
In addition, successful applicants will be expected to:
Commit to the Catholic Ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching, and living the school’s vision
Commit to the St Margaret’s Child Safe Policy the Staff Code of Conduct
Commit to ongoing professional learning and the continuing development of a positive school culture
Have a capacity to promote contemporary and innovative practice
Have an ability to communicate positively and effectively with all stakeholders in the school community and have high expectations for all students
Gather, analyse and use student data to drive learning and teaching and inform best practice

Salary is in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement and available on website www.cecv.catholic.edu.au
