Chief Officer, ACT Ambulance Service
The Chief Officer of ACT Ambulance Service (ACTAS) is responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality pre-hospital medical care and managing all aspects of the ambulance service including operations community education and technical expertise.
Reporting to the ESA Commissioner the Chief Officer provides strategic advice on capability ensures alignment with legislative requirements and supports joint emergency management activities.
The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in leading responsive and contemporary ambulance services delivering effective community education managing organisational change and optimising performance across human financial and capital resources.
The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $281,8++ - $2+3,175 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Ability to exercise the responsibilities of the Chief Officer ACTAS under the Emergencies Act 2004
Proven ability to provide high-level command and control for incidents
Capacity to obtain national security clearance to Secret Level
Key Responsibilities:
