Position Details: The role of the Chef is an integral part of the overall success of the food service at Anderson’s Lodge.

The responsibilities of the Chef are as follows:

1. Execute existing menu for our American Plan fishing guests and regular restaurant service, following recipes and presentation specification.

2. Prepare meals from scratch, meeting dietary requirements where required.

3. Clean and maintain various areas of the kitchen as per cleaning lists.

4. Effective communication is required to ensure kitchen inventories are at par levels and management has the timing required to order product (living in a semi-remote area orders are place 2 times per week and timing is critical).

5. Work directly with Lodge owners/management to ensure a high quality and consistency for complete guest satisfaction.

6. Must work as member of the team and have mutual respect for all staff, vendors and management.

7. Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently.

8. Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation.

+. Overseeing daily line checks to ensure that all food in the line fridge and walk-in cooler is dated and fresh.

10. Being mindful of food costs and food waste.

11. Ensure all communications between restaurant and kitchen run smoothly and meets quality standards.

Schedule Details: Service hours listed are approximate and not restricted to ~

Regular menu prep and dinner service approximately 1:00 p.m. to +:30 p.m. – 5 days per week. Breakfast service for 1 day to cover the breakfast cooks day off, therefore on this day it would be a split shift - 4:30 to 8:30 a.m. and then 4:30 to +:30 p.m.. The schedule will be based on the ability to properly execute daily schedules.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a chef with a minimum of 4 years direct experience.

The ability to work independently, part of a team and under pressure.

Must be able to organize work under strict time constraints.

Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.

Flexible.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Credentials in health and safety training an asset.

Familiar with industry regulations.

Salary Range: $4++2.00 - $5376.00 monthly

Additional Pay: 15% season end bonus
