Chef - Line Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef/ Line Cook who currently lives in The Kawarthas to join our culinary team (if you are a Red Seal Chef we might consider helping you with lodging at our hotel).

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Chef/Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining the standards of our kitchen. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with fellow team members to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Supervise junior kitchen staff and provide leadership when necessary.
Contribute to menu development by providing input on new dishes or improvements.
Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant management is expected.
Strong knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service expectations.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Leadership skills to guide and motivate other kitchen staff.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation in all dishes.
