ROLE - Driver - Residential Extra
We are seeking Industrial Athletes who can walk a half-marathon daily on their route to pick up cans for residential customers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily routine safety checks and pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicles.
Ensure all safety measures appropriate for the operation of assigned vehicles are consistently applied.
Operate vehicles in assigned service areas in a timely and efficient manner.
Load materials according to normal operating procedures and report any violations to the supervisor.
Avoid accepting hazardous materials when possible.
Ensure transported materials comply with legal load limits.
Report accidents and/or safety violations to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
Maintain good customer relations and positively influence the community's perception of the Company.
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.
Six months of commercial driving experience.
Knowledge of job site safety principles, potential hazards, and state and local regulations including waste regulations.
Basic computer program skills.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid Class B Driver's License.
