Cath Lab Technician
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cardiac catheterization lab.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized cardiovascular equipment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and condition during procedures.
• Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Ensure all safety protocols and guidelines are followed.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining consent.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Sterilize and maintain equipment and instruments.
• Assist in the recovery of patients post-procedure.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiovascular technology.
• Provide patient education and support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Assist in emergency situations as needed.
• Document and report any adverse events or complications.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
