Casual Legal Assistant - Dispute Resolution Litigation
We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Legal Assistant to join our high-performing Dispute Resolution Litigation team, on a temporary basis from June to July 2025. In this role, you will provide essential support to a partner and a team of skilled lawyers, helping to drive efficiency and excellence in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for:
Coordination of meetings and internal/external functions
Opening and closing of matters including e-filing and physical archiving via Aderant Expert (billing) and iManage (document management) systems
Time entry and preparation of monthly high volume billing
Creating, drafting, editing, and formatting a range of legal correspondence and documents
Reconciling expenses for authors on a monthly basis and
All other general ad hoc administrative duties
About you
Ideally you will have:
An understanding of legal terminology
Competent technical ability using Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge of Aderant Exert for billing is advantageous
The ability to produce accurate, high-quality work within set timeframes
A strong attention to detail
A personable, collaborative, and friendly disposition.
