Responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Assemble and fabricate wooden structures according to specifications.
Perform joinery tasks to create strong joints for various projects.
Carry out masonry work as required for specific builds.
Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
Work on roofing projects, ensuring proper installation and repair of roofing materials.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Skills
Proficient in heavy lifting and physically capable of performing demanding tasks.
Strong ability to assemble and fabricate various wooden structures.
Experience with joinery techniques and masonry work is advantageous.
Competent in the use of power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders.
Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in carpentry.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or sketches accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during projects.
