We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial builds, renovations, and repairs. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Fabricate and assemble wooden structures such as frameworks, door frames, and window frames.
Perform tasks involving heavy lifting and the use of hand tools and power tools.
Execute painting tasks as required for finishing projects.
Work with masonry materials for specific construction needs.
Conduct plumbing tasks as necessary to support carpentry work.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with building codes and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.
Experience
Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Familiarity with electrical systems is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Experience in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks is essential.
A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
