Canteen Chef
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Kitchen Chef to join our team in the canteen. As a Canteen Kitchen Chef, you will be responsible for cutting, chopping, preparing and cooking delicious and nutritious meals to serve our office staff in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in providing an exceptional dining experience for our staff members. Key Responsibilities: 1.Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and guidelines, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. This includes but is not limited to soups, snacks, salads, main courses, side dishes.. 2.Menu Planning: Collaborate with management to plan and create menus that offer a diverse range of options, catering to various dietary preferences and requirements while maintaining budgetary constraints. 3.Quality Control: Maintain standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. Conduct regular checks to ensure freshness and proper storage of ingredients. 4.Time Management: Efficiently manage kitchen operations, coordinating the timing of food preparation to meal serving schedules and minimize wait times for customers. 5.Team Leadership: Oversee kitchen staff and provide guidance, support, and training to maintain a cohesive and productive team. Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining a positive work environment. 6.Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment, loading and Unloading Kitchen Needs. Place orders as needed and ensure stock rotation to prevent wastage. 7.Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, sanitation standards and conducting routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment. +.Customer Service: Interact with customers, taking their feedback into consideration, and striving to exceed their expectations by providing exceptional service and delicious meals. Qualifications and Requirements: 1.Experience as a Chef in a canteen, restaurant, or similar setting. 2.Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards. 3.Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during peak hours. 4.Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage kitchen staff and collaborate with other departments. 5.Creativity in menu planning and the ability to adapt to different dietary needs and preferences. 6.Organizational and time management skills to maintain a smooth workflow. 7.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the canteen's operational hours
