ob Summary: We are seeking a talented CAD Designer with a passion for jewelry design to join our team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating intricate and detailed designs using computer-aided design software for the production of high-quality jewelry pieces. You will collaborate closely with our jewelry designers and artisans to bring their concepts to life through precise digital renderings and technical drawings. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, excellent technical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with jewelry designers to translate their concepts into digital designs using computer-aided design software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
Create precise 2D and 3D digital renderings and technical drawings of jewelry pieces, incorporating specific gemstones, metals, and other materials.
Ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs, taking into account manufacturing techniques, materials, and production limitations.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of digital jewelry components and design elements for easy reference and reuse.
Provide technical expertise and recommendations to enhance the design, functionality, and aesthetics of jewelry pieces.
Collaborate with the production team to address any design-related issues during the manufacturing process and provide necessary modifications or adjustments.
Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in jewelry design and CAD software to continuously improve skills and contribute innovative ideas.
Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and brainstorming sessions to contribute insights and creative solutions.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and timely completion of design projects within given deadlines.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of design files, revisions, and project specifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Proven experience as a CAD Designer, preferably in the jewelry industry.
Proficiency in computer-aided design software, such as Rhino, Matrix, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to create precise and accurate digital designs.
Knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, precious metals, and their properties.
Ability to interpret design briefs and translate concepts into visually appealing designs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
