Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Spray Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, priming, and spray painting kitchen cabinets and other wood surfaces to a high-quality finish. This role requires experience with HVLP spray systems, knowledge of wood coatings, and a commitment to precision and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare wood surfaces (kitchen cabinets, doors, trim, panels) for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and masking.
Apply primers, sealers, and finish coats using HVLP spray equipment or other spray tools.
Mix and match paint or stain colors to achieve desired finishes.
Inspect surfaces for quality and consistency throughout the finishing process.
Maintain a clean and organized spray booth and workspace.
Follow safety guidelines for handling paints, solvents, and equipment.
Maintain spray equipment and report any malfunctions.
Work collaboratively with other team members, including carpenters and installers, to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in spray painting cabinets or wood products.
Proficient with HVLP spray guns and knowledge of finishing techniques.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to read and follow work orders and color specifications.
Physically fit and able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of finishing materials.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with waterborne and solvent-based finishes.
Familiarity with custom color matching and glazing techniques.
Knowledge of woodworking and cabinet construction.
Working Conditions:

Indoor shop environment with exposure to paint fumes and dust (PPE provided).
Fast-paced setting with multiple projects running simultaneously.
May occasionally require overtime or weekend hours to meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Morning shift
Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
