BVI qualified Corporate Lawyer – Consultancy Work
Job description
We are interested in speaking with BVI qualified corporate lawyers who are available for flexible consultancy work of between 5-20 hours per month. The successful lawyer will assist a reputable international law firm on a flexible consultancy basis and can expect to be paid a competitive hourly rate.
Successful lawyers are likely to have upwards of 8 years’ PQE in leading international firms, have a wealth of BVI corporate experience, and be able to pick up further consultancy work imminently.
Experience in handling the following will be of notable interest:
• Public and private acquisitions and disposals of BVI companies
• Private equity investment and divestment into BVI companies
• Mergers acquisitions, consolidations and demergers of BVI companies
• Continuation of companies into and out of the BVI
• Amending and dissolving BVI limited partnerships
• Corporate governance of BVI companies
• Corporate reorganisations and restructurings of BVI companies
• Venture capital and equity financings into BVI companies
Qualification in the British Virgin Islands, along with a current practising certificate, is essential. The successful lawyer does not need to be based in the BVI and can be based in the UK.
