Budtender - Retail Associate
**Position Summary:**

Our ideal candidate is energetic, kind, insightful, and has an extensive knowledge of cannabis. As a Budtender, you'll play a vital role in assisting guests, clients, vendors, and management while supporting the day-to-day operations of our store. Your responsibilities will include providing top-notch customer service, processing transactions, and continuously learning about cannabis products to help our customers make informed choices.
**What You'll Do:**
**Customer Service and Sales:**
- Greet every customer with a bright smile and enthusiastic, “Hello! Welcome!”
- Put the customer first by prioritizing their needs over other tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the dispensary store manager and assistant store manager to ensure smooth operations.
- Address all customer questions, concerns, or suggestions, and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Keep our facility compliant and sparkling clean, completing all side work every shift.
- Offer outstanding service to vendors, patients/customers, and caregivers, making their experience memorable.
- Create a tidy, safe, and inviting store environment that enhances the customer experience.
- Commit to the high customer service standards set by our company.
- Engage in insightful training sessions provided by the company, and take charge of your own product knowledge journey.
- Stay updated about all products in-store, so you can confidently assist customers and patients.
- Keep the sales floor well-stocked and the store in great shape.
- Foster a positive, customer-centered work atmosphere while complying with established policies.
- Ensure product labels are always facing out and arrange items in an eye-catching manner.
- Accurately barcode all products and contribute to achieving daily sales goals.
- Be ready to tackle additional tasks as they arise.
**Cash Handling and Point of Sale:**
- Master the Point of Sale (POS) system to keep things running smoothly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and apply discounts with ease.
- Keep precise data entries for inventory control, ensuring everything is accounted for.
- Process customer payments like a pro, issuing receipts, refunds, credits, and change with a smile.
- Operate the cash register, meticulously tracking prices and taxable items.
- Stay in the loop on promotions and specials to keep customers informed.
**Minimum Requirements:**
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background/Live Scan check.
- Adhere to Employee Handbook policies without exception.
- High school diploma or GED is not needed.
- Previous retail experience is a plus; cannabis sales experience is even better!
- Proficiency in point-of-sale cashier systems is a must.
- Strong general math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, along with currency handling abilities.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently.
- Can sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for extended periods, ensuring you’re ready for action.
- Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours straight.
