Audit Assurance Accountant
Job description
Humans of HR is an upcoming boutique recruitment agency and is very quickly becoming the go-to agency for hiring and placement of skilled Professionals. Combined with our vast network and extraordinary customer-centric approach, we are the obvious choice in helping you find your next home.
Vancouver, BC – Onsite
Are you ready to elevate your career in a firm that actually knows your name? We’re looking for an Audit Assurance Accountant who loves the art and science of accounting, thrives on variety, and wants to be more than just another number in a giant firm.
Our client is a growing professional services firm with a strong reputation for quality work and long-term client relationships. They’re searching for someone who is sharp, collaborative, and genuinely enjoys helping clients succeed—someone who knows that in public practice, no two days are the same.
What You'll Do:
You’ll wear multiple hats (but no costumes, promise):
• Dive into audit, review, and compilation engagements, making sure every detail stands up to scrutiny.
• Prepare personal, corporate, and trust tax returns that leave no surprises for your clients.
• Be a trusted advisor, building client relationships through clear communication and sound judgment.
• Collaborate with a close-knit team that values knowledge-sharing and problem-solving.
• Use tools like Caseware and tax software with confidence and creativity.
• Always look for ways to make processes smarter, smoother, and more client-friendly.
Who You Are:
• Experienced in public practice (2+ years) and not afraid of the complexities it brings.
• Ideally CPA designated (or pursuing it—ambitious candidates near completion are very welcome).
• Comfortable with Canadian tax principles and the nuances of audit and assurance work.
• A problem-solver who knows when to ask questions and when to take the lead.
• Tech-savvy enough to make Caseware and tax software your allies, not your enemies.
• A strong communicator who can translate accounting-speak into real-world guidance.
• Organized, reliable, and committed to delivering quality without the burnout.
Why This Firm?
• Balance: They know you have a life. Expect a culture that respects work-life harmony.
• Growth: Mentorship from experienced CPAs and genuine opportunities to expand your skills.
• Variety: A client base that keeps things interesting—from owner-managed businesses to personal tax files.
• Collaboration: A small team where ideas are welcome, and your voice is heard.
• Competitive Package: Salary, paid overtime, and the knowledge that your time is valued.
At Humans of HR, we support the development and growth of our candidates to reach their full potential. If you are thinking about your next career move and the above role is just the right fit, please send us your resume along with a cover letter in confidence and one of our consultants will be in touch for a confidential discussion.
