Job Title: Attendance Pastoral Assistant

Salary Grade: Grade E SCP 11-16 36 Hrs

Working Pattern: Term Time + Inset Days

The Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding, passionate, experienced, committed, forward thinking Attendance Pastoral Assistant to join our school who can inspire, motivate and communicate outstanding practice in our school team.

We are looking for an excellent Attendance Pastoral Assistant to:

Contribute to improving the achievements and outcomes of pupils
Ensure the school meets its statutory requirements for attendance
Raise awareness to the whole school community about the importance of good attendance
Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are held of pupils’ attendance
Input data into the school’s management information system ensuring that the correct attendance codes are used
Ensure all attendance registers are completed and that staff are issued with reminders if they have not completed a register
Analyse data, identify trends, and develop plans and strategies in line with your findings
Create reports based on your data analysis
Notify parents of sanctions penalties as and when required
Building positive relationships with families in order to promote good attendance
Provide pastoral support for families
Support identified children during lunch time
Tracking, target setting and mentoring / supervising students when required.
Liaising regularly with parents/carers.
To play an active role in the development and implementation of all safeguarding policies and supporting procedures.
To work with the relevant senior manager to identify students who are vulnerable or need specific support.
To efficiently liaise with other members of the pastoral teams within the Trust. Cascading relevant information to other school staff as required.
