Full job description
Glasgow Branch sits within the first line of defence (1LoD) of the Bank and provides financial services to individual customers as well as Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) clients. It is an important point of contact for individual customers to access their current accounts, mortgages, debit cards and credit cards services. As an Assistant Customer Due Diligence - Mandarin Speaking, you will be responsible to deliver excellent customer service whilst ensuring all regulatory obligations are fully adhered. You will also be undertaking operational tasks to support the Branch in achieving its business strategies and objectives. This is a full time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

Responsible for personal customer inquiries, implementing personal customer contact strategy, identifying potential opportunities, sales and implementing marketing strategies, and developing long term relationship with personal customer
Implement Business Commercial strategy and fulfil all targets set out by the Bank
Assist with the on-going Customer Due Diligence (CDD) review
Process new account applications, closure of accounts and change of customer information
Maintain customer relationships and cross-sell relevant products and services
Market and promote the Bank's products in the target local business and commercial markets
Support the team with MI reporting and KPI tracking related work
Ensure all activities meeting the Bank’s internal policies, procedures, and other regulatory and mandatory requirements at all times
Act as coordinator for projects with 2nd and 3rd line of defence
To undertake ad-hoc tasks when required
Requirements

Degree educated in Finance, Economics or Accounting
Experience within the Financial Services industry, preferably in Banking, and proven track record in similar business stream
Relevant professional qualification
Knowledge of Retail Banking products and process, including personal and company credit cards, personal accounts, is preferred
Knowledge of Sanctions policy, AML policy, Financial Conduct Authority and GDPR is preferred
Good problem solving skills
Good marketing or sales skills
Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
Team player
