Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Chef at Grand Hayat Kochi, located in Kanayannur. The Assistant Chef will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes. Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen hygiene, ensuring all food safety standards are met, assisting with menu planning, and managing inventory. The role also involves training and mentoring junior kitchen staff and ensuring the highest quality of food is consistently delivered.

Qualifications
• Culinary skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
• Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
• Experience in menu planning and inventory management
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Previous experience in a similar role or culinary education is beneficial
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
