About the role:

The Engagement Officer – Events is instrumental in planning and delivering impactful events for pre-service teachers, teaching graduates, and trainees. Responsibilities include managing involvement at career and employment expos, identifying new events and face-to-face engagement opportunities, and ensuring the success and safety of all events. The Engagement Officer – Events leads the planning, execution, and evaluation of events to align with strategic objectives. The Officer utilises customer feedback mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement and develop innovative strategies to engage with audiences effectively. Additionally, the Officer is responsible for relationship management with key external vendors and partners to enhance event success. A significant part of this role includes coordinating country and metro tours to expand outreach and engagement efforts. The Officer uses a proactive approach is required to drive innovation in event management, risk compliance, and strategic engagement.



Qualifications:

Essential: Nil

Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification in event management, marketing, communications and/or related discipline or equivalent experience.



Special conditions:

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:

ASO6 $+8,478 - $104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
