Arts Coordinator
We are seeking to appoint a skilled administrator to coordinate our co-curricular Arts programmes and events. This role will be 28 hours per week (during College term time only), commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate will support the College’s Arts programme by assisting the organisers to achieve accurate communication as well as the smooth and timely management of all such co-curricular activities.
With a national and international reputation for excellence, Scots College is a world-class independent school with a strong Presbyterian Heritage. It is a fully co-education, IB World School in the eastern suburbs of Wellington, New Zealand, and comprises three schools in one: Junior (Years 1-6), Middle (Years 7-10), and Senior (Years 11-13). We provide our students with an excellent and holistic education within a vibrant learning environment with the aim of allowing them to contribute as global citizens who think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively, and develop the necessary skills to learn. As our ideal candidate, you must have a passion for the Arts, excellent administration skills, and good connections in the arts community. You will be a forward thinking, innovative thinker, willing to participate in the development and execution of a vision for the future of the Arts at Scots College. You will be well used to working in a dynamic environment and enjoy the challenges of event and programme planning and implementation.
Key attributes of the successful candidate include:
Strong administrative skills, especially planning, time management, and organisation skills
The ability to engage, enthuse, and inspire others
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact positively with a wide range of people and to build and maintain effective relationships
The ability to network effectively
Having a strong interest in the students, their families, and the community
High levels of integrity, practiced judgement, and discretion
Flexibility and adaptability; able to think on your feet
Being a participating and contributing team player
Ideally, some technical ability
If you are motivated by the prospect of being a part the Scots College Arts programmes, then we would be delighted to hear from you. The successful candidate will ideally commence in this new role in early June 2025.
