Architectural Engineer

About Priefert Comple Designs:
Priefert Complex Designs (PCD) was founded to provide sound, practical design services for livestock-related projects, to offer solutions before complex issues became a problem. From that initial vision, PCD has grown to provide services in multiple business sectors, including Commercial and Industrial projects. Our services include master planning, project coordination, budgeting, and structural and architectural engineering. Utilizing resources from our parent company, we are also uniquely qualified to offer livestock consulting, including stall, arena, and equipment layout and design.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Construction Management: Manage and coordinate engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project milestones are met on time and within budget.
Collaboration: Work closely with architects, consultants, and other engineers to develop efficient structural solutions and ensure project requirements are met.
Structural Drawings Design: Develop, review, and approve detailed structural drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Engage in the conceptual and detailed design of various structural systems including pre-engineered metal buildings, weld-up metal buildings, wood framed buildings, foundations, retaining walls, etc.
Project Bidding: Actively participate in the bidding process for design projects, preparing comprehensive and competitive proposals.
Client Interaction: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns to ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering required
• EIT or PE registration preferred
• 0-5 years professional experience
• Proficiency in Design Software
AutoCAD required
Revit preferred
• Proficiency in Analysis Software
Risa 3D preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products

Excel
• Working knowledge of Building Codes, Standards, and Construction Practices (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC Steel Manual, etc.) a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and management skills
