Aircraft Surface Finisher / Aircraft Painter

Ardmore, NZ

As an Aircraft Surface Finisher, you will work as part of our Ardmore Maintenance team in providing aerospace painting services of both composite and metallic components in support of the Civil Helicopters customers in the Region.

You will be primarily responsible as part of the Aircraft Maintenance Team in providing aerospace painting services of both composite and metallic components and aircraft, along with any relevant tasking as required.

About you

This role is suited to someone who is organised, diligent, willing to learn and is committed to achieving outcomes. You will be a solution focused thinker with the flexibility to be agile in your approach to your work and keen to take on new challenges.

The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include:

Trade Qualification in Painting / Aircraft Surface Finisher
Basic Training and experience in painting composite and metallic aircraft and components
Experience in painting helicopters or fixed wing aircraft
Experience in aircraft maintenance preferred but equivalent industry painting experience will be considered, component maintenance and/or manufacturing processes
Knowledge of, and ability to apply, relevant regulations, standards, policies and procedures
Good hand skills with materials and hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings
Applications must include a resume cover letter. Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.
