Job Description

Job Title: Senior Lead – Power Trading

Key Responsibilities
• Trading Operations
• Execute day-ahead, term-ahead, real-time, and REC/ESCERT trading on power exchanges (IEX, PXIL, HPX).
• Monitor market trends, price movements, and regulatory changes to optimize trade decisions.
• Manage open access transactions and bilateral trade agreements.
• Strategic Business Development
• Identify new business opportunities and clients (generators, open access consumers, discoms).
• Collaborate with the strategy team to develop and implement effective trading strategies.
• Lead client negotiations and finalize PPAs/trading contracts.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with CERC/SERC regulations and exchange norms.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation and reports to regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated with regulatory developments in the power sector.
• Team Management Coordination
• Supervise and guide a team of traders, analysts, and support staff.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Legal, Finance, Commercial, Scheduling) for smooth operations.
• Represent the company in forums, exchange meetings, and regulatory hearings when required.
