Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Program manager of NW Campus, the Administrative Support IV position will support and handle all administrative duties that pertains to the FMC AMH Outpatient programs within Unit 24. This includes but not limited to, APP, MDP, RCC, EPIP, DH, ADC injection clinic. The incumbent must have experience handling competing demands, using NetCare, Connect Care and all administrative duties including dictation where applicable. The successful candidate must have full understanding of working with clients with mental illness as well as navigating associated unpredictable behaviours. The incumbent will provide assistance in all areas of the department when required, assists with patient care throughout the area and the department. Works co-operatively with peer group to ensure that there is a positive, effective and efficient work environment. Establishes and maintains liaison with other hospital staff. Assists in the teaching of staff, orientation of new staff members and the instruction and evaluation of students. Also acts as a resource person to department staff as required

Required Qualifications:
Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education in office of business administration, medical office assistant and unit clerk. Training can't be substituted with experience and can't be learned on the job. Computer skills – proficient use of MS Office suite. Experience working within Addictions Mental Health, and knowledge of mental illness is required. Minimum of three (3) years’ related administrative experience in a similar setting in the last five (5) years. Knowledge of organizational/clinical workflows and practice. Ability to learn new material quickly and adapt to change. Comfort with technology and the ability to quickly master new software programs. Ability to work on several different computer systems. Ability to deal appropriately with all levels of staff. Perception, initiative, good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communications skills. Ability to facilitate change in a progressively changing technological computer environment. Able to handle multiple demands at once and prioritize appropriately. Good organization skills, experience and comfort in problem solving and conflict resolution. Ability to promote the change process in a positive manner. Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods with extended computer use and lift up to 10 pounds.
