About the position

Haywood is currently looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to join the Vancouver office. The position will initially report solely to the Vice President, Investment Banking. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer/client service, attention to detail and a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities include:

Process documentation for non-brokered transactions;
Prepare spreadsheets and trade processing;
Reconcile funds and coordinate settlement;
Communicate with Issuers;
Assisting the Vice President, Investment Banking as needed;
Assisting corporate communications as needed;
Other administrative duties as required.
Requirements:

1-2 years of office related experience necessary; experience in financial industry an asset;
Must have the ability to work in a demanding, pressurized and fast-paced work environment, while remaining composed, friendly and focused;
Excellent phone manner;
Pro-active with a great attitude;
Complete tasks with minimal direction/supervision;
Proficient in data entry with excellent attention to detail required;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
Dataphile system experience an asset.
