Administrative Assistant
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a office setting, providing essential clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth operations. This role requires proficiency in managing accounting systems (specifically SAGE accounting), filing, and general office tasks, along with strong proofreading skills to maintain accuracy in documentation. This position may lead to additional training in preventative control programs to further assist management in task (training provided by a third party) for the right candidate.
Duties
Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel
Attend to customers in the retail outlet store as needed
Maintain organized customer files and records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance
Assist with clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation in SAGE accounting and the food safety system
Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution
Coordinate office supplies and inventory management
Support management with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
Previous experience as an administrative assistant is preferred
Previous experience in book keeping and/or accounting software is preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficient typing skills with attention to detail
Familiarity with phone systems and basic office equipment
Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality documentation
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong proficiency in English, both written and oral
Reside in Claresholm or short commuting distance thereof
