We are seeking a Food Service Teacher to join our team at Primrose School of Jenison. As the primary food service provider, you will prepare nutritious meals that fuel children's exploration, play and development of a lifelong love of learning.

You will work in a safe, healthy environment where children and team members thrive. Our commitment to quality ensures we deliver on our mission of bringing the best early childhood education and care to families.

Responsibilities:

Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students
Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions
Ensure food service area and food are free of nuts and nut products
Follow daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the Director
Assist with ordering food and calculating the amount needed
Inspire children to eat healthy through delicious and nutritious foods
Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older
Comply with company and state-specific standards
Ability to pass a state background check
High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience cooking in large quantities
ServSafe Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain it within +0 days
