1:1 Teacher
The Youth Education Service are currently working in partnership with a school in Wirral who are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teacher to join their remarkable team of highly qualified staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a tailored curriculum to meet the diverse needs of a Year 9 pupil with complex needs. The Teacher will support the student on a 1:1 basis.
Deliver a personalised curriculum
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the pupils individual learning needs.
Liaise with support staff, therapists, and external agencies including parents to ensure development of the young person.
Monitor and report on pupil progress, implementing interventions where necessary.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Experience working with pupils with SEMH difficulties
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Nurturing but able to instil boundaries
Preferably fully inducted however if you have previous experience supporting children outside of teaching this will be considered.
